Turkish government condemns bombing in Mogadishu


The Turkish government has strongly condemned the suicide bombing that targeted a restaurant in Wadajir district, killing and injuring many Somali government soldiers.

A statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry through the Turkish embassy in Mogadishu said it was “deeply saddened” by the blast, which killed more than 10 people.

“We strongly condemn this heinous attack and extend our condolences to the people and government of Somalia, our friends and brothers.

We pray to God to have mercy on those who lost their lives and the speedy recovery of those injured, ”said a statement from the Turkish government.

Finally, the Turkish government has pledged to continue supporting Somalia in its fight against so-called terrorists.

Turkey is one of the countries that support Somalia, and it trains hundreds of soldiers every year, who play a key role in the fight against al-Shabab.
