At the Afrik Hotel in Mogadishu, a well-organized ceremony was held to inaugurate a new airline.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by various officials, academics, businessmen, diaspora, politicians, elders and members of the public.
Speaking at the event, Royal Air General Manager Ali Ahmed Farah said the new company was co-founded by Somali businessmen who have assessed the needs of the country’s airlines.
“Royal Air will operate in cities in the country, and its establishment was due to the fact that the demand for domestic flights has not yet been met even though there are other companies in the country,” said Ali Ahmed Farah.
He added that their company will serve the community with state-of-the-art quality and safety aircraft, and will play a key role in satisfying their customers.
