Members of the international community based in Halane have called on the outgoing President and the caretaker Prime Minister to end their differences and move forward with the elections.
“As the Somali people mark the 1st anniversary of the September 17th Agreement, friends of the international community * are deeply concerned that the growing rift between the President and the Prime Minister will destabilize Somalia and disrupt the process. “Election process,” said a statement from the international community.
He added: “We urge the President and the Prime Minister to resolve their differences expeditiously, refrain from exchanging public documents and public notices, and focus on concluding them.” Elections postponed without further delay
