Villa Somalia issues statement on National Security Committee meeting


A recent statement from the Villa Somalia Information Officer stated that today’s meeting of the National Security Committee had been postponed.

The meeting, which was announced by President Farmajo, was expected to hear a report on the Ikraan Tahlil case from former NISA commander Fahad Yassin.

The statement from the Somali presidency did not say why the conference was canceled but it is believed that Fahad Yassin was due to arrive in the country today but is still missing.

“The meeting of the National Security Committee of the Federal Government of Somalia which was previously announced by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo to take place today 18-09-2021 has been postponed, and we will share with you the best time is possible, ”said a statement from Villa Somalia tonight.
