Somalia & Indonesia discuss trade facilitation

Somalia’s Minister of Trade and Industry Khalif Abdi Omar, met with Indonesia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Somalia Amb. Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin.

The two sides discussed strengthening the long-standing ties between Somalia and Indonesia.

The two sides also discussed the promotion, facilitation and cooperation of trade and investment as Indonesia is one of the first exporters of Somalia and we have a long-standing relationship with Somalia. long-standing relationship on the business side.

New Indonesian Ambassador to Somalia Amb. Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin thanked the Minister and said that they will increase cooperation with Somali government officials.

The government of Indonesia, an Islamic country, has repeatedly talked to the Somali government about boosting trade and facilitating trade, but it has not been possible.
