The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Health said in a statement that 3,641 cases have been tested in the past 24 hours, but 348 cases have been reported in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.
The infected people are in the region, according to the Somali Ministry of Health
Banadir 15 people,
Puntland 70 qof,
Galmudug 19 and
5 registered in Jubbaland.
A statement from the ministry said 217 men and 131 women had been diagnosed with the disease, while 20 had died and 95 had recovered.
Overall, COVID-19 epidemic has been reported in Somalia with 19,583 cases and 1,099 deaths, while 9,345 have been cured in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.
The Minister of Health, Ms. Fawzia Abikar Nur, has called on all Somalis to take health advice and implement measures to curb COVID-19, in order to be successful in efforts to improve community safety.
