Somali government announces new deaths for COVID-19


The Somali federal government’s Ministry of Health said in a statement that 1,667 cases of the virus have been tested in the past 24 hours, but 140 cases have been reported in Mogadishu and other regions of the country with COVID. -19.

Somaliland, 105,

Galmudug 3 and Jubbaland 5 registered.

A statement from the ministry said 95 men and 45 women had been diagnosed with the disease, while four people had died in Somaliland and 69 had recovered.

Overall, COVID-19 epidemic has been reported in Somalia in 19,723 cases and 1,103 deaths, while 9,414 have been cured in Mogadishu and other parts of the country.

The Minister of Health, Ms. Fawzia Abikar Nur, has called on all Somalis to take health advice and implement measures to curb COVID-19, in order to be successful in efforts to improve community safety.
