Candidates for the Upper House of the Northern Regions of Somaliland, who will run for the 11 seats in the Upper House of the Upper House, are currently in Mogadishu.
The venue was attended by Prime Minister Roble, his Deputy, Electoral Delegates, the Northern Regions Electoral Commission and other observers.
Candidates who have delivered speeches so far include Speaker of the Upper House Abdi Abdi Hashi Abdillahi, Minister of Constitution Salah Ahmed Jama, Minister of Information Osman Abukar Dubbe, and former Chief Justice Ibrahim Idle Suleiman.
Today, the speeches of the candidates for the Upper House of the Northern Regions of Somaliland are expected to be concluded, with the Electoral Commission awaiting the timing of the Upper House elections in the Northern Regions.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, addressed a special joint sitting of the National Assembly, and this week will conclude the Upper House elections in the Northern Provinces.
