The President of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, has received a delegation from the international community at the State House in Kismayo.
The delegation includes United Nations Special Representative to Somalia James Swan, African Union envoy to Somalia Francisco Caetano Madeira, EU Ambassador Tina Intelmann, officials from the Swedish and Norwegian embassies and other members.
The meeting discussed the acceleration of the electoral process and how to complete the remaining members of the Upper House which could pave the way for the beginning of the lower house and the completion of the electoral process.
Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam, said the Prime Minister should be supported and independent in the tasks ahead which could go a long way in improving the work ahead.
On the other hand, the President called for a peaceful solution to the issues that have arisen in the Galmudug State so as not to impede the important work ahead of that State which is the responsibility and legitimacy of the Galmudug administration.
