The Federal Government of Somalia has heard a report from the Commander of the European Union Anti-Piracy Force


Attorney General of the Jubbaland State Mohamed Sheikh Osman and Prosecutors from the Federal Member States and Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General on a mission in the Seychelles capital Victoria met with the Commander-in-Chief of the European Union’s anti-piracy force in the Indian Ocean.

The members listened to the Commander’s report on the anti-piracy operation and said that the risk of piracy had decreased and that they were now focusing on the fight against illegal fishing and the prevention of charcoal exports.

Members of the Prosecution shared to report to the Prosecution if they catch fishermen fishing illegally in Somali waters and ships, charcoal exporters to be brought before a competent court and prosecuted.
